[Local News Network] “Green Dog” found on side near creek
Hours after being reported missing from Citytown’s New Year festival, the parade float “Green Dog” was found on its side near Stonewater Creek. Festival-goers said the float’s runners had been drinking heavily, apparently despondent at the Green Dog’s second-place finish in the festival parade. Residents near the creek reported “loud revelry” and “rude behavior” shortly before the runners tripped over each other’s feet and crashed to the ground, mere yards from the rarely-swift-running water. Eyewitness Janibelle Denebe described it as “clumsily spectacular, like a slow motion slapstick routine.” The runners were found safe, passed out inside the float.
