As a lark, at a Fourth of July pool party in 2003 I asked people if they’d put on this foam mask thingie and let me take a photo. To be posted on the web for the world to see. Surprisingly, a lot of folk agreed. Alcohol was almost certainly involved.
Now it’s almost eight years later, and there are 180 photos in The Cat Project. It’s always a pleasure to add a new person, in part because it’s a chance to browse the album and revisit a bit of history.
I came across this unpublished photo today, from a gathering of friends on Bowen Island some years ago, and although there’s no anniversary or other day of note around, I raise a toast to friends and family. Thanks for putting on the foam!
