The Mountain Prairie dog is known for its habit of staring into the sky for long periods, sniffing for radio waves. A layer of armor, developed over decades of evolution, surrounds its legs and protects its delicate upper parts from the common predators below. Although the diet of the Mountain Prairie dog is almost completely radio frequencies, it does enjoy the odd soupçon of lightning bolt.
