Here’s the wreck of the Southern Chief, along the Kala Point coast, in 2010:

She may have been poorly constructed, but her ribs and keel have survived more than a hundred and fifty years of exposure to the elements. They’re a bit smaller now than three years ago, but I’m betting there’ll still be fragments long decades from now.
